The DFF4 is a semi automatic two nozzles liquid and paste spout pouch filling machine built by Wenzhou T&D Packaging Machinery Factory. It is designed for filling liquids and low-viscosity pastes into spouted flexible pouches — stand-up pouch, spout pouch and Doypack — and it carries an integrated capping module, so filling and capping are completed on one machine. The machine runs on a Taiwan Airtac pneumatic package with full pneumatic drive — no electrical power required; connect an air compressor and it works. With no electric spark, it is especially suited to alcohol-based products and workshops with explosion-proof requirements. Standard 2-nozzle configuration (1 nozzle optional), filling range 50–250 ml, output 300–600 bags/hour, filling accuracy ≤ 1 g (absolute value). Dosing is by piston, and the bottom close positive shutoff nozzles are offered in 3–12 mm diameters to eliminate dripping. Contact parts are food grade 304 stainless steel (316 optional), sealed with food grade silicone O-rings rated to 200°C (rubber sealing rings available for corrosive media), meeting food safety requirements. Operation switches between foot pedal and auto timer, and semi automatic / automatic modes switch freely on the same machine; optional models cover 20–1000 ml. Machine size 1850 × 550 × 1000 mm, net weight approx. 95 kg, gross weight approx. 100 kg, shipped in one reinforced carton. MOQ 1 set, T/T 100%, dispatch within 10 days; one-year whole-machine warranty plus lifetime maintenance.

1. Product Overview

1.1 Product Category

The DFF4 belongs to the liquid and paste dual-purpose filling machine / spout pouch filling machine / stand-up pouch filling machine / Doypack filling machine / semi automatic piston filling machine / filling machine with capping / pure pneumatic filling machine category. It is positioned as a semi automatic 2-nozzle multi-viscosity filling and capping unit for flexible pouches (stand-up pouch, spout pouch, Doypack).

  • By structure: piston type + bottom close positive shutoff nozzle, with integrated capping module
  • By control: pure pneumatic drive, no electrical power needed, air supply only
  • By automation: semi automatic / automatic switchable (foot pedal or auto timer)
  • By material: liquid and paste dual-purpose — liquids (water/oil/juice/detergent/sauce/wine/liquid cream) plus low-viscosity pastes
  • By pouch type: stand-up pouch, spout pouch, Doypack spout pouch, common flexible pouch bag

It can serve as the core filling machine of a small to medium pouch liquid + capping line, and can be paired with a labeling machine and an inkjet coder to build a small packaging line.

1.2 Use Cases

  • Beverage, juice and drinking water pouches: 50–250 ml stand-up pouch / spout pouch filling plus capping, an alternative to bottling lines
  • Edible oil, olive oil and wine pouches: free-flowing low to medium viscosity liquids
  • Liquid detergent, dish soap and laundry liquid: daily chemical pouches, with corrosion-resistant rubber sealing rings available
  • Thin sauces, condiments, liquid cream, ketchup: liquid and paste dual-purpose, low-viscosity pastes also run well
  • Cosmetic toner, serum, hand cream and facial cleanser: low-viscosity small pouches
  • Alcohol-based solvents and explosion-proof workshop liquids: pure pneumatic, no power supply, no electric spark — high safety
  • OEM contract filling and small brand trial runs: MOQ 1 set, filling + capping in one machine replaces two
  • Small-batch, multi-SKU e-commerce packaging: 2 nozzles fill several pouches at once, and the filling-capping combination saves labor

1.3 Core Functions

  1. Full pneumatic drive, no electrical power — connect an air compressor and it runs; no motor, no electric spark, ideal for alcohol-based and explosion-proof filling workshops
  2. Piston volumetric filling — one cylinder per head, fill volume set by piston stroke; standard 50–250 ml, optional models covering 20–1000 ml
  3. Twin-nozzle simultaneous filling — 2 anti-drip positive shutoff nozzles as standard; 1 head / 2 heads selectable per order; nozzle diameter 3–12 mm optional
  4. Liquid and paste dual-purpose — handles free-flowing liquids (water, oil, juice, detergent, wine, liquid cream) as well as low-viscosity pastes (thin sauces, hand cream, facial cleanser)
  5. Foot pedal / auto timer dual-mode switching — semi automatic and automatic modes switch on the same machine for flexible operation
  6. Food grade 304 stainless steel contact parts — 316 stainless steel version optional; silicone O-rings rated to 200°C, food safe; rubber sealing rings available for corrosive media
  7. Bottom close positive shutoff nozzle — at the end of each fill, the cylinder performs a positive shutoff at the nozzle bottom, eliminating dripping and residue
  8. Integrated capping module — filling and capping finished on one machine, saving a separate pouch-clamping capping station; capping specifications (torque, cap size) are available from Andrea
  9. Dedicated filling head lift device — the nozzle head can be pushed and can rise and fall automatically, adapted to soft pouches and gentle on the pouch mouth
  10. Airtac pneumatic components — Taiwan Airtac pneumatic parts for stable, reliable operation

2. Core Advantages

Advantage 1 | Full Pneumatic Drive, No Power Supply — Safer and Simpler

  • The whole machine is pure pneumatic (no power supply); just connect an air compressor — no electric spark, especially suited to alcohol-based products and explosion-proof workshops
  • Simpler than the DF4-1000 (electric control + pneumatic): no electrical control module, no solenoid valve signals — fewer failure points and easier maintenance
  • Suited to temporary lines, mobile stations and outdoor filling where power supply is inconvenient
  • One air source can also feed the capping module, making filling + capping fully pneumatic

Advantage 2 | Filling and Capping in One Machine — Fewer Stations, Less Floor Space

  • Filling and capping integrated on one machine — no separate capper to buy, no added conveyor transfer section
  • Operator places the pouch on the fixture → filling → capping → take-out, the whole cycle completed on one machine
  • Footprint 1850 × 550 × 1000 mm, about one third less floor space than a "filler + capper + conveyor" three-piece setup

Advantage 3 | Liquid and Paste Dual-Purpose, 50–250 ml Covered by One Machine

  • Liquid and paste dual-purpose — the same machine fills liquids (water/oil/juice/wine/detergent) and low-viscosity pastes (thin sauces, hand cream, facial cleanser, liquid cream)
  • The 50–250 ml standard range is optimized for small pouches — best output on coffee, sauce and cosmetic small pouches
  • Fill volume is set by adjusting the piston stroke: stable structure, no drift
  • Filling accuracy ≤ 1 g (absolute value), high repeatability

Advantage 4 | Twin-Nozzle Filling with Anti-Drip Positive Shutoff

  • 2 nozzles as standard, output 300–600 bags/hour
  • Bottom close positive shutoff nozzle — at the end of the fill, the cylinder drives a positive shutoff at the nozzle bottom, eliminating drips and residue at the pouch mouth
  • Nozzle diameter 3–12 mm optional, matched to liquid viscosity and pouch mouth size
  • 1 or 2 nozzles selectable; choose the head count by capacity requirement before ordering

Advantage 5 | Food Grade 304 Stainless Steel + Silicone O-Rings Rated to 200°C

  • Contact parts in food grade 304 stainless steel (316 optional); the valve system is stainless steel as well
  • Seals are food grade silicone O-rings rated to 200°C, food safe
  • Rubber sealing rings can be substituted for corrosive liquids such as alcohol and strong acid/alkali products
  • The whole machine meets food safety requirements and can be used directly for food-grade pouch filling of beverages, sauces and cosmetics

4. Sales Suggestions & FAQ

4.1 Sales Suggestions

  1. Target the "small pouch liquid + capping" customer group — cosmetic pouches (day cream, hand cream, serum pouches), sauce pouches (salad dressing, ketchup, chili sauce small pouches), beverage small pouches (juice, wine, coffee pouches). Closer to pouch needs than small bottle fillers such as the PL-88, adds capping over the DF4-1000, and cheaper than large plastic sealing machines.
  2. Lead with the "fully pneumatic, no power supply" differentiator — the DF4-1000 is electric control + pneumatic, while the DFF4 is pure pneumatic with no power supply. For alcohol-based products, explosion-proof workshops, outdoor filling and mobile stations this is a natural differentiator. It is also simpler than the DF4-1000 (no electrical control module), with fewer failure points and lower maintenance cost.
  3. Lead with "filling + capping in one" — most competitors need a filler + capper + conveyor three-piece setup; the DFF4 does the job of two machines in one. This answers the customer's budget worry about "having to add another capper after filling".
  4. Lead with "liquid and paste dual-purpose" — cosmetic and daily chemical customers often produce both liquids (toner, serum) and low-viscosity pastes (hand cream, facial cleanser); the DFF4 covers both on one machine, raising order value.
  5. Bundle sales — pair it with our labeling machines and inkjet coders to build a small pouch + capping + labeling + coding line, upgrading a single-machine order into a complete line order.
  6. Negotiate with video — the YouTube video (https://youtu.be/Gk-akHZNx0o) shows the machine at work; remote machine inspection replaces a factory visit and lowers the barrier to closing.
  7. Be honest about the EXW scope — the EXW quotation excludes freight and spare parts; LCL sea freight, air freight and courier are quoted at cost per order, avoiding later disputes.
  8. Proactively advise on seal selection — rubber sealing rings versus silicone O-rings should be chosen by liquid corrosiveness, so the customer does not buy the wrong seal and lose sealing performance after filling.

4.2 FAQ

Q1: Which liquids is the DFF4 suitable for? Is it really dual-purpose for liquid and paste? Yes, the DFF4 is genuinely dual-purpose — it fills liquids (water, oil, juice without particles, liquid detergent, sauce, wine, liquid cream, etc.) as well as low-viscosity pastes (thin sauces, hand cream, facial cleanser, liquid cream, etc.). Liquids with particles, high-viscosity pastes and strongly corrosive liquids are not suitable (strongly corrosive liquids require rubber sealing rings plus a 316 stainless steel configuration). The viscosity threshold for high-viscosity pastes is to be confirmed — please check with Andrea before ordering.

Q2: Does the DFF4 need a power supply? Is the control electric or pneumatic? The DFF4 is fully pneumatic and needs no power supply — connect an air compressor and it works, with no motor and no electric spark. It is simpler than the DF4-1000 (electric control + pneumatic): no electrical control module, fewer failure points and easier maintenance, making it especially suitable for alcohol-based products and filling workshops with high explosion-proof requirements.

Q3: Does the DFF4 include capping? What are the capping specifications? An integrated capping module completes filling and capping on one machine, saving a separate pouch-clamping capping station. The detailed capping specifications (torque, cap size, capping speed, etc.) are not listed in the PDF quotation and are to be provided by Andrea.

Q4: How many nozzles come as standard? Can I choose just one? 2 nozzles as standard. You can specify 1 head or 2 heads per order — fewer heads means a lower machine price, while 2 nozzles markedly increase small pouch output.

Q5: How do I choose the nozzle diameter? Selectable within 3–12 mm. For general liquids (water, oil, juice, detergent) a 6 mm nozzle head is most common; thin sauces, wine and cosmetics use an 8 mm nozzle head; thicker liquids use 10–12 mm. Confirm the pouch mouth size and liquid viscosity before ordering and Andrea will recommend the diameter.

Q6: How accurate is the filling? What can it achieve? Filling accuracy ≤ 1 g (absolute value), typical for a piston volumetric machine. Note that this is an absolute value, not a percentage — 1 g on 50 ml equals ±2%, and 1 g on 100 ml equals ±1%. We recommend weighing and calibrating 2–3 pouches before full-scale production.

Q7: Will the nozzle drip or leave residue at the pouch mouth? No. The bottom close positive shutoff nozzle is standard — at the end of the fill the cylinder drives a positive shutoff at the nozzle bottom, leaving no droplet and no residue. The pouch mouth stays clean and can go straight to the capping step.

Q8: What material are the product contact parts? What is the hygiene grade? Contact parts are food grade 304 stainless steel (316 optional) with a stainless steel valve system; the seals are food grade silicone O-rings rated to 200°C. The whole machine is food safe and can be used directly for food pouch filling.

Q9: Is it troublesome to change pouch sizes? Are change parts needed? No. The machine handles stand-up pouch, spout pouch, Doypack and common flexible pouches on the same unit; changing pouch type usually only requires the matching fixture / pouch clamp, and the fill volume is set through the piston stroke. The capping module's pouch clamp is also selected by pouch mouth size.

Q10: Is cleaning troublesome when changing liquids? No. The pipework uses quick-connect fittings and the contact parts are easy to dismantle; regular liquids rinse off with clean or hot water, while oils and sauces are best rinsed with hot water first and then clean water. When changing between strongly corrosive liquids, soak with the matching cleaning agent before rinsing.

Q11: How are MOQ, payment and delivery arranged? MOQ 1 set, EXW Wenzhou; T/T 100%, production and dispatch scheduled after payment; dispatch within 10 days (stock including necessary items). LCL sea freight, air freight and courier are all available, with freight quoted at cost per order.

Q12: How long is the warranty? What happens after the warranty period? One-year whole-machine warranty — faults not caused by human error and arising from normal use per the manual are repaired or replaced free of charge, with the customer bearing the freight from China to the destination. Paid lifetime maintenance is provided after the warranty period; if an engineer visit is required, the customer bears the round-trip travel expenses.

Q13: What is the packaging? How is overseas shipment inspected? Packed in a single reinforced carton including tools and parts. Net weight 95 kg, gross weight 100 kg, machine size 1850 × 550 × 1000 mm (horizontal layout); suitable for LCL sea freight, air freight and international courier. Packing size to be supplied by Andrea. We recommend requesting the latest container loading and outer carton photos before ordering.

Q14: Do you have CE certification? Yes. This model can be shipped with CE certification (please ask Andrea for the specific certificate number).

6. Workflow

6.1 Pouch Filling & Capping Process

  1. Connect air — connect the air compressor and set the air pressure to the standard range (MPa value to be confirmed); check that the pressure gauge, filter and air signals are normal. The DFF4 needs no power supply, so there is no electrical connection step.
  2. Load material — pour the liquid or paste to be filled into the feed tank (or feed it from the upstream line), and confirm that the contact parts use the seal material matching the liquid (silicone O-ring / rubber sealing ring).
  3. Fit the pouch — fix the stand-up pouch / spout pouch / Doypack onto the matching fixture or pouch clamp with the pouch mouth aligned to the filling head; the filling head lift device adapts to the pouch mouth position automatically.
  4. Select the mode and start — choose "foot pedal (semi automatic)" or "auto timer (automatic)" according to the day's production; both modes switch instantly on the same machine.
  5. Volumetric filling — once started, air drives the piston and the 2 anti-drip positive shutoff nozzles fill simultaneously, completing dosing automatically within the 50–250 ml range (300–600 bags/hour).
  6. Positive shutoff / anti-drip — when the target volume is reached, the cylinder drives a positive shutoff at the nozzle bottom, eliminating drips and residue at the pouch mouth.
  7. Integrated capping — after filling, the capping station locates the pouch mouth and cap automatically, and the pneumatic capping module tightens the cap to the preset torque. Capping specifications (torque, cap size, capping speed) to be supplied by Andrea.
  8. Unload / pass on — remove the filled and capped pouch and move it to the next step (labeling / coding / bundling / cartoning).
  9. CIP cleaning / product changeover — when changing liquids, remove the nozzles and contact parts and rinse with clean or hot water; when changing between strongly corrosive liquids, soak with the matching cleaning agent before rinsing. Check the silicone O-rings regularly for ageing, deformation and air leakage.
