FR-1000 Solid-Ink Roller Continuous Band Sealer

The FR-1000 is a continuous band sealer with integrated solid-ink roller printing, engineered for hands-free, high-throughput heat sealing and one-step date/batch coding of pre-filled pouches across food, bakery, tea, pharmaceutical, daily-chemical, agricultural, and hardware industries. The machine combines continuous auto-sealing (0–16 m/min line speed) with synchronized solid-ink printing that produces crisp, instantly dry, scratch-resistant black markings — clearly visible at retail and fully compliant with supermarket traceability standards. Key advantages include independent dual temperature control (seal 0–400 °C, ink wheel separately heated), a high-purity copper heating block for faster and more uniform heat transfer, 12 mm seal width, 5 kg conveying load, and a robust 24 kg horizontal chassis available in painted or stainless-steel finish. Daily output is 3–5× higher than manual hand-pressure sealers, fully replacing inefficient manual operation.

I. Product Overview

1. Product Category

  • Equipment Name: Continuous Band Sealer with Solid-Ink Roller / Ink Wheel Printing
  • Model: FR-1000
  • Equipment Positioning: A continuous-conveyor packaging sealer purpose-built for small-to-medium batch and high-efficiency continuous sealing. Designed for the food, pharmaceutical, and daily-chemical industries, it integrates "continuous automatic heat sealing" and "clear ink-printed date coding" into a single pass — fully replacing inefficient hand-pressure or foot-pedal sealers.
  • Form Factor: Continuous Conveyor · Horizontal.

2. Applications

  • Industry Applications: Food processing, bakery and tea packaging, pharmaceutical and healthcare, daily chemicals, agricultural products, hardware and auto parts, and any industry requiring clear, regulatory-compliant date/batch coding.
  • Applicable Products: All types of pre-filled, ready-to-seal pouches — plastic film bags, aluminum-foil bags, laminated film bags, etc.
  • Production Scale: Ideal for small-batch multi-SKU changeovers and medium-to-large batch continuous assembly packaging.

3. Core Functions

  • Continuous Auto-Sealing: The conveyor feeds pouches at a steady, uniform speed, automatically fusing and setting the seal — no manual hand-pressing required, dramatically freeing up operator hands.
  • Independent Dual Temperature Control: The seal temperature (0–400 °C) and the ink-wheel heating temperature are regulated independently, accommodating both different bag-film thicknesses and the controlled softening of the solid-ink roller.
  • Solid-Ink Roller Printing: Standard-equipped hot-melt ink-wheel coding prints production dates, expiration dates, or batch numbers synchronously with the seal. The print is full-bodied, instantly dry, strongly adherent, and scratch-resistant — no smudging.
  • High-Purity Copper Heating Block: Manufactured from high-purity copper, the block delivers faster heat conduction and more uniform heating, improving seal quality yield.

II. Core Advantages

  • 2-in-1 Sealing & Printing: Pouch feeding, heat sealing, air cooling, printing, and discharge are completed in one pass. A single operator easily handles both feeding and packing, and daily output rises 3–5× over traditional manual sealing.
  • High-Visibility Font, Supermarket-Traceability Compliant: Unlike the color-less indented steel print on the FR-900, the FR-1000 produces clearly visible solid-black text — easy for consumers and supermarket scanners to read, with significantly stronger regulatory compliance.

IV. SOP & Workflow

1. Required Materials

  • Pouches to Seal: Pre-filled, ready-to-seal flexible bags.
  • Power Supply: 110V / 220V mains.
  • Solid-Ink Roller / Ink Wheel: One piece is included as standard and pre-fitted on the machine.
  • Type Blocks: The corresponding type blocks must be installed for printing.

2. Startup & Operation

  1. Pre-Start Check: Twist and lift the 【Emergency Stop】 button, then turn on the 【Power】 switch.
  2. Switch On Cooling Fan: Turn on the 【Fan】 switch to activate internal heat dissipation and the air-cooling duct.
  3. Set Heating:
  4. Turn on the 【Heat Seal】 switch and set the target seal temperature on the 【Digital Temperature Controller】;
  5. Turn on the 【Print】 switch, then slowly rotate the 【Ink-Wheel Temperature】 knob clockwise to heat and soften the ink roller.
  6. Warm Up & Melt Ink: Wait 3–5 minutes until the digital readout stabilizes and the ink roller is fully softened.
  7. Adjust Conveyor: Rotate the 【Sealing Speed】 knob to the speed that best fits your production pace; the conveyor begins to run.
  8. Feed & Seal with Fine Adjustment:
  9. Place the pouch mouth flat against the guide rail into the inlet; the machine automatically completes heat sealing, air cooling, printing, and discharge;
  10. Inspect the first finished piece. If the printed date sits too far forward or too far back, directly rotate the panel-mounted 【Print Position】 knob to fine-tune until the imprint is perfectly placed.

3. Shutdown SOP (Critical to Prevent Heat-Damage Belt Failure)

  • Step 1: When production ends, always switch off both the 【Heat Seal】 and 【Print】 switches first (stop all heating);
  • Step 2: Leave the 【Fan】 on and the conveyor running idle for 3–5 minutes to perform forced air-cooling and heat dissipation;
  • Step 3: Only after the digital temperature readout drops below 100 °C may you switch off the 【Fan】 and 【Power】 switches.

V. Sales Tips & FAQ

Sales Tips

  • Lead With "Solid-Ink Printing vs Steel Printing": Solid-ink printing produces full-color, clearly visible, non-piercing imprints, perfect for food and daily-chemical customers who require clearly traceable dates/batch numbers. The FR-900's steel printing produces heat-pressed indentations with zero ink and zero consumables.
  • Recommend 110V / 60Hz for North American Buyers: Confirm the voltage version with customer service before order placement to prevent buyers from receiving equipment they cannot power on.

FAQ

  • Q: What's the essential difference between the FR-1000 and the standard FR-900? How should I choose?
  • A:
    • FR-1000 (Solid-Ink Model): Uses a hot-melt solid-ink roller to print clearly visible black text (e.g., EXP: 2026/08/18). Instantly dry, highly visible, and instantly recognizable — the top choice for supermarket and regulatory-compliant sales;
    • FR-900 (Steel-Print Model): Uses inkless heat pressing to create indented impressions (no color). Best for internal turnover, where high visibility of the date is not required and zero-consumable operation is preferred.
  • Q: Is the ink roller a consumable? How often does it need to be replaced?
  • A: The ink roller is a normal consumable. The higher the daily output and print frequency, the faster it wears. We recommend keeping 2–3 spare ink rollers on hand and judging replacement by the actual clarity of the printed imprints.
