Blister Sealing Machine Selection Guide & Product Overview

1. What is a Blister Sealing Machine

1.1 Core Definition

A blister sealing machine is special packaging equipment that thermally presses and seals PVC/PET/APET/GAG blister shells with paper cards or Tyvek films. It adopts constant-temperature hot pressing or high-frequency fusion technology to realize integrated paper-plastic packaging. It delivers visible product display, dustproof, moisture-proof and anti-scratch protection, covering sample prototyping, small-batch processing and mass production scenarios. It is applicable to small hanging-card packaged products in hardware, electronics, beauty, toys, medical consumables and other industries.

The product line is divided into two categories: ordinary hot-press blister sealing machines and high-frequency blister welding machines. Ordinary hot-press machines seal via constant-temperature heating of molds; high-frequency models rely on molecular oscillation welding without blister oil, providing stronger sealing strength for eco-friendly shells.

1.2 Working Principle

  1. Conventional Pneumatic Hot Press Series (BS Series) Equipped with dual heating structures (bottom mold heating / top flat heating), pneumatic cylinders provide constant pressure, and digital temperature control accurately regulates heat-sealing temperature. Operators place products into blister shells and cover paper cards, then slide the platform or turntable into the heat-sealing station. High temperature and pressure bond the shells and paper cards, and finished products are unloaded after cooling. Three-station or dual-station turntable models support simultaneous feeding, heat sealing and unloading for non-stop cyclic production.

  2. High-Frequency Welding Series (HFQ Series) Built with high-frequency oscillation modules, supporting full-range temperature control from 0 to 300°C. Pneumatic or hydraulic pressurization is optional. High-frequency energy enables self-fusion of plastic molecules, suitable for APET, PETG eco-friendly double-sided blisters, leather and EVA fabric welding. Fully automatic models are equipped with PLC touch screens and automatic turntables; high-end versions are fitted with servo robotic arms for automatic material picking, supporting unmanned assembly line operation.

1.3 Core Advantages

  • Wide material compatibility: Compatible with ordinary PVC, eco-friendly PET/APET, medical Tyvek DuPont paper, leather and EVA composite fabrics.
  • Flexible site adaptation: Desktop models are compact for table placement; vertical turntable models occupy regular floor space; heavy-duty high-frequency machines fit fixed workshop production lines.
  • Low operation threshold: Semi-automatic models can be operated after simple training; fully automatic models support one-click parameter storage for stable long-term production.
  • Global wide voltage compatibility: All models support 110V/220V 50/60Hz; high-power versions support 380V three-phase power, matching power grids of domestic and overseas factories.

4. General Technical FAQ (Common Questions & Answers)

Q: What air compressor specifications are required for all pneumatic models? A: BS series hot-press machines fit 0.4~0.8Mpa air compressors; HFQ pneumatic high-frequency models standard 0.6~0.8Mpa, 1200W/50L silent oil-free air compressor is recommended. HFQ hydraulic models do not require external air supply.

Q: What is the supply voltage and power of the equipment? A: Desktop BS2030/2037 power: 1.8KW; vertical turntable BS total power: 2KW; manual HFQ high-frequency: 5KW; fully automatic HFQ: 8~8.5KW. All models support 110V/220V wide voltage; high-power models optional 380V three-phase power, compatible with standard workshop mains power.

Q: Can pneumatic models be used without an air compressor? A: No. Pneumatic pressurized machines rely on air cylinders to complete hot pressing; they cannot press down for sealing without air supply. Customers without air source are recommended HFQ hydraulic high-frequency machines or electric blister packaging machines.

4.2 Mold & Customization

Q: Does each machine come with standard molds? A: All models are delivered without molds. Molds are customized separately according to customer product size and shape. 1~4 cavity multi-cavity molds are available to seal multiple products at once and boost capacity.

Q: Are molds interchangeable? Do customers need to redevelop molds when changing products? A: Molds are interchangeable for machines with the same tabletop size. Molds must be re-customized for products with different shapes or sizes. The manufacturer supports separate mold procurement.

Q: Can molds integrate batch number & production date printing? A: Yes. Printing or hot stamping stations can be reserved during mold customization. Fully automatic HFQ models can be fitted with independent coding devices to finish sealing and printing simultaneously.

4.3 Consumables & Sealing Effect

Q: What packaging materials are compatible? - BS hot-press series: PVC/PET blisters, ordinary cardboard, Tyvek films. Blister oil must be coated on PET blisters matched with paper cards. - HFQ high-frequency series: PVC, APET, PETG, GAG, PP, EVA, PU leather, fabric. No blister oil required for eco-friendly blisters.

Q: How to solve wrinkling, incomplete sealing or blister burning during sealing? - Wrinkling: Low temperature, uneven film tension. Increase temperature, adjust slide/turntable feeding speed. - Incomplete weak sealing: Insufficient pressure, short heating time. Raise air pressure, extend holding time. - Burnt blister: Overhigh temperature. Reduce temperature section by section, add thick high-temperature isolation tape.

4.4 Equipment Maintenance & Warranty

Q: What are vulnerable spare parts? Can they be purchased separately? A: Heating plates, high-temperature resistant tape, sealing rings, film cutting blades, high-frequency tubes (HFQ models) are standardized wearing parts. The manufacturer supplies spare parts separately and provides remote replacement guidance.

Q: What is the full machine warranty period? A: All models enjoy 1-year full machine warranty. Wearing parts including heating plates, sealing rings, high-frequency tubes and slide rails are excluded from warranty. Lifetime remote technical support, mold renovation and on-site commissioning services are provided.

Q: How to clean plastic residue on dirty heating plates? A: Cut off power completely and cool down the machine. Wipe the heating plate with soft cloth dipped in alcohol. Do not use steel wool or hard blades to scrape the surface to avoid damaging the coating.
