YYD2 Series Double-Head Single-Color Floor-Standing Open Inkwell Pad Printing Machines

This series consists of double-head, single-color floor-standing open-inkwell (Open Inkwell) pad printing machines in two models — YYD2-125-100 / YYD2-200-150 — distinguished by steel-plate size and print area. The double-head structure enables simultaneous transfer of two workpieces (or two print positions) in a single downward stroke, multiplying small-part throughput and effectively shortening the production cycle.

Core Abstract The YYD2 Series comprises double-head, single-color floor-standing open-inkwell pad printing machines in two models — YYD2-125-100 and YYD2-200-150 — differentiated by steel-plate size and print area. Its dual independent inkwells, dual plates, and dual heads are pneumatically synchronized, so a single press transfers two workpieces (or two positions on one part) at once. Ideal for automotive parts, stationery, daily goods, gifts, electronics, toys, bottle caps, and pen manufacturers needing small-area, single-color logo/text/graphic printing for sampling and small-to-medium batches. Core advantages: a floor-standing body that stays stable and low-noise at speed; a double-head layout that roughly doubles small-part throughput versus single-head machines; and an open-inkwell system with effortless cleaning, fast changeovers, and lower maintenance than sealed cups. Print areas span 70×70 mm to 120×70 mm with speeds up to 2300 pcs/hr.

3. Applications

  • Industry Applications: Widely used for small-area logo / text / graphic printing across automotive parts, stationery, daily goods, gifts, electronic components, toys, bottle caps, pen barrels, and more.
  • Printing Scope: Suitable for single-color pad printing on flat, slightly curved, and small-to-medium irregular substrates; the double head completes two small parts or two positions on one workpiece in a single pass.
  • Production Scale: Ideal for sample proofing, small-batch customization, e-commerce DIY sellers, and brand boutique supporting production.

4. Core Functions

  • Microcomputer Control: Microcomputer-controlled for stable, reliable operation and simple, convenient use.
  • Digital Counter: The machine has a built-in digital counter that tracks the print count in real time.
  • Dual-Head Dual-Inkwell Synchronous Printing: Adopting a dual independent open-inkwell, dual steel-plate, and dual rubber-head linkage design. The doctor blade and print heads are synchronously driven by pneumatic cylinders; a single press simultaneously transfers two workpieces (or two positions on one workpiece), not only multiplying small-part efficiency but also offering flexible plate-making and easier registration/setup.
  • Table & Head Micro-Adjustment: The worktable supports up/down and forward/backward micro-adjustment; the print head supports forward/backward and left/right micro-adjustment, facilitating precise registration for substrates of different heights and thicknesses and enabling quick changeover.

II. Core Advantages

  • Floor-Standing Cast-Aluminum Body, Stable Printing: The entire machine adopts a floor-standing vertical body structure with a low center of gravity and stable support — no shaking or deformation during prolonged high-speed printing, with low operating noise.
  • Double-Head Productivity: Compared with single-head models, the double-head layout transfers two workpieces (or two print positions) per cycle, especially suited to small-part batch printing; it significantly shortens the per-piece production cycle and multiplies throughput.
  • Open Inkwell Ink Supply: Uses an independent open inkwell plus doctor blade for ink supply — an extremely simple structure that is easy to disassemble and clean, with quick color changes. It adapts to a wide range of ink viscosities, making it the most economical solution for small-batch, multi-variety sampling and changeover, with clearly lower maintenance cost than sealed cup systems.

III. Operation & Workflow

1. Required Materials

  • Substrate: Fabric, metal, automotive parts, stationery, daily goods, electronic components, toys, instruments, bottle caps, pen barrels, and other small-to-medium flat / slightly curved / irregular workpieces.
  • Consumables: Steel plate, fixture, rubber head, ink, thinner, doctor blade.
  • Air Pressure: 4–6 bar. An air compressor is required.
  • Power Supply: 110V or 220V, factory-configured per the customer's destination voltage; the demo unit is 220V 50Hz.

2. Standard Workflow

  1. Air Supply Connection: Connect 4–6 bar compressed air, check the air line for leaks, then power on.
  2. Steel Plate & Rubber Head Installation: Load the two etched steel plates into their respective open inkwell bases, mount the corresponding pad printing rubber heads, and pour a proper amount of mixed ink into the open inkwells.
  3. Trial Printing & Adjustment: Place a sample substrate, press the control-panel start button to test print, and fine-tune the inkwell doctoring stroke, the two head positions, and the worktable forward/backward & up/down positions according to pattern sharpness.
  4. Mass Production: After adjustment, proceed to formal printing; the counter automatically accumulates the print count for easy production management.
  5. Shutdown & Maintenance: After work, shut off the air and power, clean residual ink from the open inkwells, wipe the rubber heads and steel plates with cleaning agent, and keep the equipment dry.

IV. Sales Tips & FAQ

Sales Tips

  • Two-Model Selection Guidance: Recommend by print area — choose YYD2-125-100 (steel plate 100×100 mm, up to 2300 cycles/h, faster and more flexible plate change) for small parts with high cycle rates and large batches; choose YYD2-200-150 (steel plate 150×100 mm, 1500 cycles/h, heavier body, more stable downforce) for slightly larger print areas.
  • Highlight "Double-Head Doubling Throughput": For high-volume customers processing bottle caps, pen barrels, and electronic small parts, emphasize "one press, two parts produced simultaneously" — the per-piece cycle is halved, greatly improving per-capita output and machine turnover.
  • Bundle Sales Suggestion: Bundle with consumables such as steel plates, fixtures, rubber heads, and doctor blades to raise average order value and customer stickiness.

FAQ

  • Q: Can this machine use 110V voltage in the United States?
  • A: Yes. We provide both 110V (North American standard) and 220V (European/Asian standard) versions, factory-preset to the customer's destination voltage, and equipped with power plugs that comply with local standards.
  • Q: Is an air compressor required?
  • A: Yes, the machine needs to be connected to an air compressor — you can prepare your own or purchase one from us. The required air pressure is 4–6 bar.
  • Q: What is the difference between a double-head single-color machine and a single-head single-color machine?
  • A: The core difference lies in throughput and station count: a single-head machine prints only one product per cycle, whereas a double-head model is equipped with two rubber heads and can transfer two products (or two positions on one workpiece) in a single press. In small-part batch printing, double-head efficiency is close to twice that of a single-head machine, greatly saving labor and man-hour costs; the ink-supply principle and cleaning/maintenance methods are essentially the same for both.
