YYC Series Auto 2-Color Shuttle Floor-Standing Open Inkwell Pad Printing Machines

This series consists of floor-standing open-inkwell (Open Ink Well) auto 2-color left-right shuttle pad printing machines, covering three models — YYC-125-100 / YYC-200-150 / YYC-225-200 — distinguished by steel-plate size and print area. After a single workpiece clamping, the shuttle table automatically shifts to complete two-color overprinting in sequence, with precise registration and convenient color changeover, especially suitable for two-color batch pad printing of small-to-medium workpieces.

Core Abstract The YYC Series comprises auto 2-color shuttle floor-standing open-inkwell pad printing machines in three models — YYC-125-100, YYC-200-150, and YYC-225-200 — differentiated by steel-plate size and print area. After a single clamping, the shuttle table automatically shifts the workpiece between the two print heads to complete two-color overprinting in sequence. Ideal for manufacturers of automotive parts, electronics enclosures, toy components, pen barrels, cosmetic bottle caps, tools, instruments, and gift packaging that need precise two-color logos, scales, or graphics on small-to-medium flat or slightly curved parts. Core advantages: a high-precision shuttle table that eliminates secondary manual registration and drives scrap rates near zero;a floor-standing body that stays stable and low-noise at speed; and a cost-effective open-inkwell system with effortless disassembly and fast color changeovers. Print areas span 70×70 mm to 150×70 mm with speeds up to 1500 pcs/hr.

3. Applications

  • Industry Applications: Automotive parts, electronic enclosures, toy components, pen barrels, cosmetic bottle caps, tools and instruments, gift packaging, and other industries requiring two-color overprinting.
  • Printing Scope: Suitable for two-color patterns, two-color scales, or two-color logo overprinting on flat, slightly curved, and small-to-medium irregular parts; adopts single-piece clamping with automatic shifting registration.
  • Process Advantage: Traditional single-color machines printing two colors require manual printing of the first color, drying, then manual re-registration for the second (easily misaligned); this series achieves "single clamping, fully automatic two-color registration and molding," completely avoiding accumulated tolerance from secondary manual registration, with a scrap rate near zero.

4. Core Functions

  • Pneumatic Auto Left-Right Shuttle Table: A high-precision guide rail driven smoothly by cylinders moves the shuttle table with accurate stroke positioning and high repeatability, ensuring the two-color pattern fits tightly.
  • Independent Dual Inkwell & Head Micro-Adjustment: Equipped with two independent left-right inkwells and independent doctor blades, so the two ink colors do not interfere; each print head can be fine-tuned forward/backward and left/right for extremely fast color registration calibration.
  • Microcomputer Control System: Microcomputer control panel integrated with a digital counter, making setup and trial printing intuitive and easy.

II. Core Advantages

  • Precise Registration, No Secondary Tolerance: After the workpiece is fixed on the fixture without shifting, the worktable automatically sends it under the first-color and second-color heads to complete transfer, eliminating registration deviation caused by manual handling and significantly improving yield.
  • 2-Color Floor-Standing Body, Stable Operation: The whole machine adopts a floor-standing cabinet base; with a machine weight exceeding 100 KG, it does not shift under high-frequency reciprocating cylinder stamping and offers excellent anti-vibration performance.
  • Open Inkwell, Cost-Effective & Practical: The dual open inkwells are extremely easy to remove; ink cleaning and color change require no cumbersome disassembly, and plate-making cost is far lower than large steel-cup sealed systems, suitable for fast changeover across many varieties.

III. Operation & Workflow

1. Required Materials

  • Substrate: The workpiece to be printed and its matching positioning fixture.
  • Consumables: Steel plate, fixture, rubber head, ink, thinner, doctor blade.
  • Air Pressure: 4–6 bar. An air compressor is required.
  • Power Supply: 110V or 220V, factory-configured per the customer's destination voltage.

2. Standard Workflow

  1. Air Supply Connection: Connect 4–6 bar compressed air, check for leaks, then power on.
  2. Steel Plate & Rubber Head Installation: Load the two etched steel plates into their respective open inkwell bases, and mount the two corresponding pad printing rubber heads above.
  3. Fill Two-Color Ink: Pour the prepared first-color and second-color ink into the left and right open inkwells respectively, and install the doctoring mechanisms.
  4. Clamp Workpiece & Reference Alignment: Fix the sample on the shuttle-table fixture, and manually align the first-color (reference color) head with the worktable position first.
  5. Trial Printing & Registration Calibration: Step on the foot pedal to start a single two-color trial print; observe the registration precision of the second color against the first, and precisely align via the second head's micro-adjustment knob until the two colors are perfectly aligned.
  6. Mass Production: After locking the setup, switch to automatic/semi-automatic mode for continuous production; the shuttle table automatically reciprocates to transport the workpiece and complete two-color transfer, while the digital counter automatically accumulates the finished count.
  7. Shutdown, Maintenance & Cleaning: After production, cut power and air, pour out residual ink from the open inkwells, and thoroughly clean both steel plates, rubber heads, inkwells, and doctor blades with cleaning agent.

IV. Sales Tips & FAQ

Sales Tips

  • Three-Model Selection Guidance:
  • YYC-125-100: Suitable for regular small hardware, bottle caps, and small-area logos, with the highest speed (1500 pcs/h) and excellent cost-performance.
  • YYC-200-150: Suitable for longer, wider workpieces (e.g., appliance panels, stationery rulers).
  • YYC-225-200: Suitable for long-ratio patterns (steel plate up to 200 mm in length), meeting large-format two-color printing needs.

FAQ

  • Q: Can this machine use 110V voltage in the United States?
  • A: Yes. We provide both 110V (North American standard) and 220V (European/Asian standard) versions, factory-preset to the customer's destination voltage, and equipped with power plugs that comply with local standards.
  • Q: Is an air compressor required?
  • A: Yes, the machine needs to be connected to an air compressor — you can prepare your own or purchase one from us. The required air pressure is 4–6 bar.
  • Q: What is the difference between the YYC shuttle 2-color machine and the YYD2 double-head single-color machine? How should I choose?
  • A: Their production purposes are completely different: the YYD2 Series (double-head single-color) presses once to print 2 products (single color) simultaneously, ideal for small-part high-volume fast runs where per-piece throughput is doubled; the YYC Series (shuttle 2-color) clamps one product per cycle, but the workpiece automatically shuttles between two print heads to complete two-color overprinting in sequence, designed specifically for high-precision two-color patterns.
