Continuous Band Sealer with Nitrogen Gas Flushing

The Nitrogen-Flushing Continuous Band Sealer is an integrated gas-flushing, automatic heat-sealing, and synchronous coding machine engineered for puffed-food factories, roasted-nut processors, and fresh coffee/tea/cookie/baked-goods producers. By injecting nitrogen (or other inert gases) into the pouch just before sealing, it delivers dual protection: anti-oxidation preservation that extends shelf life, and an internal air-cushion that prevents fragile snacks like chips and shrimp sticks from being crushed in transit. Available in two configurations — a zero-consumable steel-print model and a high-visibility ink-wheel model — both share continuous auto-sealing at 0–12 m/min, 13 mm seal width, 0–300 °C temperature control, 0.02–0.08 mm film compatibility, and a 3.5 kg conveying load. An optional nitrogen-flow adjustment valve is available for fine-tuning across different preservation needs.

I. Product Overview

1. Product Category

  • Equipment Name: Continuous Band Sealer with Nitrogen Flushing
  • Equipment Positioning: An all-in-one nitrogen-flushing preservation + automatic sealing + synchronous coding machine purpose-built for puffed foods, roasted nuts and seeds, fresh tea, coffee, and similar applications. By injecting nitrogen (or other gases) into the pouch, it provides dual protection — preservation against oxidation and gas-cushioning against crushing.
  • Two Available Models:
  • Steel Printing Model: Physical heat-pressed indented type marks — zero ink, zero consumables.
  • Ink Wheel Printing Model: Solid-ink roller printing — sharp, clearly visible black text.

2. Applications

  • Industry Applications: Puffed-food factories, roasted-nut processors, fried-snack lines, coffee/tea packagers, baked-goods producers, fresh and dried-goods processors.
  • Applicable Products: Chips, shrimp sticks, popcorn, shelled nuts, coffee beans, snow cakes, puffed pastries, and other fragile or oxidation-prone pre-filled soft packages.
  • Applicable Packaging: Vacuum bags, laminated bags, aluminum-foil bags, etc.

3. Core Functions

  • Gas Flushing & Anti-Crush: A custom-built flushing nozzle is inserted into the pouch mouth and injects nitrogen in an instant just before the film is fused, pushing out the oxygen inside to delay oxidation and spoilage of the food. At the same time, the inflated gas-cushion protects fragile products such as chips from being crushed during transportation.
  • Flush & Seal in One Pass: The conveyor feeds pouches smoothly and continuously — gas-nozzle flushing → copper-block heat-fusion → cooling and setting — all in a single pass, delivering highly efficient continuous operation.

II. Core Advantages

  • Nitrogen Flushing, Longer Shelf Life: At the moment of sealing, a premium gas nozzle injects nitrogen into the pouch to displace air and oxygen — suppressing oxidation and delaying spoilage, significantly extending shelf life and retail display time.
  • Anti-Crush for Puffed Snacks: The injected nitrogen forms an internal air-cushion that effectively prevents fragile puffed foods like chips and shrimp sticks from being crushed during transportation, improving both shelf appearance and yield.
  • Adjustable Nitrogen Flow: The standard model requires manual nitrogen-flow adjustment; an optional dedicated adjustment valve can be added for finer, valve-based control of nitrogen flow to suit different pouch types and preservation requirements.
  • Flexible Steel / Ink-Wheel Printing: Customers who prioritize zero consumable cost can choose the Steel Printing version; those needing bold, supermarket-compliant black dates can opt for the Ink Wheel Printing version.

IV. Operation & Workflow

1. Required Materials

  • Pouches to Seal: Pre-filled soft-packaging bags ready for nitrogen-flushed sealing (vacuum bags, laminated bags, aluminum-foil bags, etc.).
  • Power Supply: 220V / 50Hz or 110V / 60Hz mains.
  • Nitrogen Source: Customer-supplied nitrogen cylinder/tank × 1, plus 8 mm OD (8 mm OD / 5 mm ID) gas tubing. Note: As long as the cylinder can supply nitrogen and has an external outlet, the brand and capacity are not restricted.
  • Type Blocks & Consumables: Install the corresponding date type blocks according to the purchased model (for the ink-wheel version, ensure the solid-ink roller is fitted).

2. Standard Workflow

  1. Connect Gas Supply: Connect the external nitrogen cylinder line securely. Open the cylinder main valve and set the pressure regulator to a safe micro-pressure state.
  2. Power On: Plug in the power and switch on the panel main power switch.
  3. Set Heating: Switch on the heating switch and set the seal temperature on the temperature controller. For the ink-wheel model, also switch on the print pre-heating.
  4. Start Conveyor: Adjust the speed knob to make the conveyor run smoothly.
  5. Bag Loading & Sealing:
  6. Align the pouch mouth with the gas nozzle and slip it on;
  7. As the conveyor advances, the gas nozzle injects gas into the pouch, inflating it;
  8. The moment the pouch mouth leaves the gas nozzle, the sealing band clamps and fuses the film → pressing and setting → synchronous coding → discharge.
  9. Check Hermeticity: Lightly press the finished inflated pouch to verify seal strength, gas-tightness, and adequate inflation.
  10. Proper Shutdown (Safety First):
  11. Step 1: Close the external nitrogen cylinder main valve first;
  12. Step 2: Switch off the heating switch on the machine;
  13. Step 3: Let the conveyor continue to idle for 3–5 minutes for cooling;
  14. Step 4: Only switch off the main power once the temperature has dropped below 100 °C.

V. Sales Tips & FAQ

Sales Tips

  • Lead With "Preservation + Anti-Crush", Not Price Wars: The value of a nitrogen-flushing sealer is not in "sealing tighter", but in extending shelf life + reducing transit breakage. For puffed-food, baked-goods, and nut customers, talk directly about "nitrogen in the pouch = air-cushion anti-crush + anti-oxidation preservation" — far more persuasive than spec sheets.
  • Prepare a Script for the "Adjustable Nitrogen Flow" Question: Customers often ask "can the nitrogen flow be adjusted?". Answer: Manual adjustment is standard; an optional dedicated adjustment valve (+USD 100) can be added for finer nitrogen-flow control to suit different pouch types and preservation requirements.
  • ⚠️ Always Emphasize "This Machine Does NOT Have a Nitrogen Generating Funtion": The machine only has a gas nozzle. The nitrogen cylinder / tank must be purchased locally by the customer. Clarifying this upfront prevents 100% of cross-border misunderstandings.

FAQ

  • Q: Does the machine come with a nitrogen cylinder? What else do I need to buy?
  • A: The machine does NOT include a nitrogen cylinder/tank, nor does it have nitrogen-generation capability. The customer must purchase their own nitrogen cylinder or tank — any model with an external outlet will work. An 8 mm OD (8 mm OD / 5 mm ID) gas tube is also required.
  • Q: Can the nitrogen flow be adjusted?
  • A: Yes. The standard model supports manual nitrogen-flow adjustment; an optional dedicated adjustment valve (+USD 100) can be added for finer, valve-based control of the nitrogen flow to suit different pouch types and preservation requirements.
  • Q: What's the difference between the steel-print and ink-wheel versions? How should I choose?
  • A:
    • Steel Printing Model: Uses metal type blocks to heat-press indented impressions (no color) — zero consumable cost, exceptional value-for-money;
    • Ink Wheel Model: Uses a solid hot-melt ink roller to print clearly visible black text with bold, eye-catching characters. The price difference between the two complete machines is approximately USD 100.
